MEDICAL ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGIST – BAND 5
Salary scale: £24,670 - £30,742
Applications are invited from suitably experienced and qualified Technologist/Technician for the post of Clinical Engineering Technologist working for Clinical Engineering Services located in Raigmore Hospital, Clinical Engineering Workshop , Inverness.
The successful candidate working from a suitably equipped engineering facility is to provide mechanical engineering maintenance, fault diagnosis and support for service providers equipment (e.g. theatre tables, radiotherapy equipment, medical equipment, etc) within NHS Highland. The post holder also carries out environmental control work and assistive technology work in a community setting that might involve overnight stays.
The qualifications required are a degree in a mechanical engineering or similar discipline or HNC/HND in mechanical engineering or similar discipline including experience, knowledge and training. Previous experience of working with patients in the NHS is desirable. Consideration will be given to newly qualified Engineering students. Candidates must demonstrate effective communication skills, be computer literate, hold a full UK driving licence and show evidence of engineering project work.
