COMMUNITY PSYCHIATRIC NURSE OLDER ADULTS (BAND 6)
(Salary: £30,401 - £38,046)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a community mental health nurse to work with older adults experiencing mental health problems. The post will be based within the Lawson Memorial Hospital, Golspie, within the East Sutherland Integrated Team for Health and Social Care, but will cover all of Sutherland, developing strong, working links with primary care and other statutory/voluntary care providers.
The post-holder will deliver recovery-based approaches, have the ability to autonomously manage their caseload which will consist of individuals who experience a wide range of mental health problems including Alzheimer's, vascular dementia, anxiety, depression and psychosis. They will also be responsible for the training of and sharing of knowledge with colleagues.
The successful candidates will be registered mental health nurses with a current valid registration with the NMC. A degree or equivalent specialist knowledge and experience in community mental health is also required.
This is a full-time post, working 37.5 hours per week, in order to meet service requirements. A current driving licence is essential and a pool car may be available, however you will also require access to your own vehicle for work purposes.
