An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our team to help further develop and widen our multi-site laboratory network in the visually stunning Highlands. Accredited to ISO15189 by UKAS as a 3-site Blood Science service, we are looking to strengthen our existing network and then to integrate a fourth Highland site, and you will be part of the Biochemistry team that contributes to the provision of a safe, effective and efficient 24/7 Biochemistry service for NHS Highland. With easy access to the North Scottish coastline, and a variety of outdoor activities, beautiful countryside on your doorstep, the Highlands has a lot to offer.
Applicants must be HCPC registered. BMS (Band 5) applicants may apply, however if they have not completed the IBMS specialist portfolio then Annex 21 will be applied until completion.
A post with Annex 21 applied is paid a percentage of the fully qualified rate during the period of training as follows:- Year 1: 65% of the pay band maximum; Year 2: 70% of the pay band maximum, Year 3: 75% of the pay band maximum.
