We are looking for an experienced Clinical Scientist to join our department providing a Nuclear Medicine service to the people of the Highlands, West Grampian and Western Isles.
The Nuclear Medicine service is part of the Medical Physics department and is equipped with two gamma cameras, a GE Infinia and a GE Optima 640 SPECT-CT. Both cameras are linked to a network of GE workstations. A comprehensive range of diagnostic studies and out-patient therapies is undertaken. The department has an on-site radio pharmacy operating under a Manufacturing Specials license. The successful candidate will have an active role in training technologists and Clinical Scientists on the Scottish scheme for Medical Physics and is expected to contribute to MSc projects and other departmental research work. You should be HCPC registered and be able to be entitled as a Medical Physics Expert; candidates with less experience will be considered at a lower grade.
Inverness offers a high standard of living in an area of outstanding natural beauty with unrivalled opportunities to enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities. The city is easily accessed by road, rail and air. Informal enquiries and visits to the department are encouraged.
