Clinical Support Division - Laboratory Services (Raig) ,Raigmore Hospital

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced Specialist Biomedical Scientist in Blood Sciences (specialising in Haematology and Coagulation) to join us to help our multi-site laboratory network in the visually stunning Highlands. Accredited to ISO15189 by UKAS as a 3-site Blood Sciences service we are looking to strengthen our existing network and then to integrate a fourth Highland site. You will be expected to work with support workers and Senior staff members as well as clinicians and management as a Specialist BMS (Haematology and Coagulation) whilst ensuring the day to day provision of a safe, effective and efficient blood science service across the network.

You will be supported by experienced Quality Management and Clinical teams, along with dedicated support staff in a forward-thinking Blood Sciences Department.

Applications will be considered from candidates from a Multidisciplinary background that can demonstrate an appropriate skill in Haematology and Coagulation.

On-site accommodation is available depending on availability.

A post with Annex 21 applied is paid a percentage of the fully qualified rate during the period of training as follows:- Year 1: 65% of the pay band maximum; Year 2: 70% of the pay band maximum, Year 3: 75% of the pay band maximum.
